Bay Area freshman, Roach Gigz, drops his anticipated mixtape Roachy Balboa. Unique high pitch voice and all, the kid has talent. An acquired taste without a doubt, the drugged up Roach is grindin’ away at his debut solo album, set to drop soon. Be that as it may, the kid is currently bringing a different sound to the chemically-enhanced turf party music. Also, keep your eyes & Reader peeled for DJ Amen’s Bay Freshman 10 for 2010, where Roach has made the list along with nine other Bay Area artists set to blow. Get Active!
DaVinci droppin’ his free album today, The Day The Turf Stood Still. For those of you who still havn’t heard of the guy, I suggest giving the San Francsico native a listen; you might fuck around and end up feelin’ it. The man’s raw talent paints an unpretty picture of the real effects of Urban Renewal and how these communities are struggling to preserve their culture while reminding us we must stay optimistic about the future.
